Louis Moustakas on CKCU's Red Zone - September 21st 2012

On Friday, I was once again fortunate enough to join the boys on CKCU's Red Zone program here in Ottawa.

As always, it was a blast chatting hockey with them, although it was a tad unfortunate that so much time was dedicated to dissecting the current lockout. I think we would have much rather been discussing the pre-season prospects of the Montreal Canadiens or Ottawa Senators.

In any case, you can find the link here — I join in around the halfway mark.

Shane Doan's Demands, Past Habs Glories, Sunday Shinny and More

Shane Doan - Phoenix Coyotes v Columbus Blue Jackets
Happy Monday Hab fans!

As I am sure many of you have already seen, it has been reported that Shane Doan is seeking a four year, $30 million contract in order to leave the Phoenix Coyotes.

In the end, it is not great surprise that Doan wants a sweet deal if he is to leave Phoenix, but those are some pretty rich numbers!

Would you make that offer to the 34-year old Doan?

Habs and Hockey News

- Our newest writer, Derek Lachine, contributes his first piece. He takes an itneresting look at the parallels between the legendary Sam Pollock and new GM Marc Bergevin.

- Speaking of new writers, don't forget to check out Amos Legault's first piece concerning David Desharnais' line.

- Kamal Panesar joins the gang on TSN 990 for Sunday Shinny.

- The HabsWorld crew discuss what it takes to build a winning franchise in the modern NHL.

-  On the topic of Shane Doan, Hockey Inside/Out offers the latest on the situation.

- Stu Hackel wonders if Alex Semin was worth 7$ million. He probably won't be worth every penny, but he has the potential to be. At worst, it is a one-year deal that can easily be moved at the deadline.

- Kevin Allen of USA Today overviews the many pressing issues still facing the NHL amidst the dog days of summer.

Louis Moustakas on CKCU's Red Zone - May 4th 2012

Much like a month ago, the gang at CKCU's Red Zone had me on their program this morning.

Needless to say, our main topic of discussion was Marc Bergevin's recent appointment as the Montreal Canadiens' 17th General Manager.

We also briefly discuss the potential Head Coaching candidates and even touch on Scott Gomez's egregious contract.

Once again, it was a blast jumping on the program — in spite of the early hour.

I join the boys around the 30 minute mark of the show. Of course, the whole broadcast is worth a listen.

You can find the podcast here.

Louis Moustakas on CKCU's Red Zone

Good afternoon Hab addicts!

In case you were wondering why the habitual A.M news roundup was not posted, it is because instead I was up bright and early to join Alex Liepold and Jordan Chevalier to talk Montreal Canadiens on CKCU's Red Zone program in Ottawa.

The podcast of this morning's program can be found here.

I join the guys at the 33 minute mark. Namely, we discuss the recent management shakeup, Patrick Roy potentially joining the organization, the core players on the Habs and the Ottawa Senators' surprising playoff berth.

The whole program is worth a listen. Alex and Jordan have voices perfectly suited for sports radio and they definitely know their stuff.

So give them a listen or a read on the Red Zone blog.
