Louis Moustakas on CKCU's Red Zone - September 21st 2012

On Friday, I was once again fortunate enough to join the boys on CKCU's Red Zone program here in Ottawa.

As always, it was a blast chatting hockey with them, although it was a tad unfortunate that so much time was dedicated to dissecting the current lockout. I think we would have much rather been discussing the pre-season prospects of the Montreal Canadiens or Ottawa Senators.

In any case, you can find the link here — I join in around the halfway mark.

Louis Moustakas on CKCU's Red Zone - July 6th 2012

Once again, this week I joined the gang at CKCU's Red Zone to talk Habs and NHL hockey.

Unsurprisingly, the guys and I touch on the recent mega deals signed by Zach Parise and Ryan Suter. We also delve into the Montreal Canadiens recent signings and the team's needs moving forward.

You can find the program here.

I jump in around the 42 minute mark. As always, the whole show is worth a listen.

Alex and Josh offer up some really interesting takes on the aforementioned Parise/Suter situation and they also talk about basketball a bit.

I must admit, I zoned out for that part. Not my thing at all.

In any case, was a blast joining the program again.

Louis Moustakas on CKCU's Red Zone - May 4th 2012

Much like a month ago, the gang at CKCU's Red Zone had me on their program this morning.

Needless to say, our main topic of discussion was Marc Bergevin's recent appointment as the Montreal Canadiens' 17th General Manager.

We also briefly discuss the potential Head Coaching candidates and even touch on Scott Gomez's egregious contract.

Once again, it was a blast jumping on the program — in spite of the early hour.

I join the boys around the 30 minute mark of the show. Of course, the whole broadcast is worth a listen.

You can find the podcast here.

Habs/Leafs, Last Day, Grapes, Budaj, CKCU and More

Mikhail Grabovski - Toronto Maple Leafs v Ottawa Senators
Good morning Hab addicts!

So, what are you doing with your Saturday?

If you said 'watching hockey', that is the correct answer.

All 30 NHL teams are in action today and, although playoff teams have been set, today's contests are rife with post-season implications.

Starting at 1 PM EST, Chicago and Detroit faceoff in a nationally televised match up and then, for us lucky Canadians, a triple-header is being offered by CBC.

In the middle of this three game treat, Montreal and Toronto meet to end their miserable campaigns. Other than marking the end of a not-so-memorable campaign for both clubs, this game is actually devoid of any implication.

Even in the jockeying for a lottery pick, Montreal is already assured of a bottom-three finish, win or lose.

What games will you be watching today?

Louis Moustakas on CKCU's Red Zone

Good afternoon Hab addicts!

In case you were wondering why the habitual A.M news roundup was not posted, it is because instead I was up bright and early to join Alex Liepold and Jordan Chevalier to talk Montreal Canadiens on CKCU's Red Zone program in Ottawa.

The podcast of this morning's program can be found here.

I join the guys at the 33 minute mark. Namely, we discuss the recent management shakeup, Patrick Roy potentially joining the organization, the core players on the Habs and the Ottawa Senators' surprising playoff berth.

The whole program is worth a listen. Alex and Jordan have voices perfectly suited for sports radio and they definitely know their stuff.

So give them a listen or a read on the Red Zone blog.
