As a result, Habs' prospects Michael Bournival and Morgan Ellis can now stake claim to the most prestigious prize in junior hockey.
With an assist on the game winning goal, Michael Bournival vaulted into fifth in scoring with seven points in six games. Meanwhile, Morgan Ellis assisted on the first Shawinigan goal and was named the game's second star.
First-round selections Jarred Tinordi and Nathan Beaulieu were also part of the tournament.
Brendan Gallagher and Patrick Holland both had strong offensive seasons in the WHL.

Am I optimistic? Truthfully that is hard to say. The NHL is full of stories of players who had bright careers ahead of them but who ultimately failed. That's the chance you take when you are judging what a player will become when they are 17-18 years old.
Tinordi was drafted at 6'4 and he's now 6'7. Could we have predicted that he'd still grow 3 inches?
When I think of the kids coming down the pipeline I assume that Tinordi and Beaulieu will be NHlers. A guy like Gallagher will be given every shot as well but Bournival, Holland, Ellis are not exactly impact players in the respective junior leagues/teams.
Am I optimistic, Yes I guess you can say that because we have alot of depth in Hamilton next year and fi we get the right coach in place then we potentially have a number of NHL players but apart from Tinordi and Beaulieu who is going to be that impact player?
We have failed year in and year old to draft an impact forward with the exception of Pacioretty.
which of these guys do we expect to see in Hamilton next year?

Am very lookin forward to see how Holland, Quailer, Trunev and Gallagher stack up vs AHL competition and also to see which d-man makes biggest impact as 1st year pro; Tinordi or Pateryn?
Too bad Kristo is going back to NCAA, but could be good in long run?
