How can you not like what gauthier has done. Kostitsyn has talent but he has issues. He is not the first player in the world to face this and he will not be the last. What PG did however was take a kid who very likely would have returned to the KHL and replaced him with 2 assets.

Boyd will play for the habs next season and will be a good 3rd or 4th liner. The guy had great skills in junior but could not find his neiche in Calgary where he was asked to be a banger and drop the gloves.

In Montreal we'll ask him to be defensively responsible, limit the amount of turnovers and use his great speed to forecheck on a 4th line with the occassional 3rd line duty. He will be a younger, quicker, slightly bigger and possibly cheaper version of Geln Metropolit.

Ellis on the hand simply will not stay here. Despite what was posted via Twitter last night Ellis uses the same Agency as Jaro Halak.

Ellis uses Mike Liut and Jaro Allan Walsh but certainly the sides will be talking. Jaro felt he was not given a fair shake here and he'll be using this evry same thoughts with Ellis. His tenure as a hab likely will set at 48hours.

Regardless this was a nice move by PG in what has thus far been a very productive off season.
