Canadiens recall Andreas Engqvist from the Hamilton Bulldogs
MONTREAL (November 14, 2011) – The Montreal Canadiens announced today that forward Andreas Engqvist has been recalled from the AHL Hamilton Bulldogs.
The 23-year old centre registered five points (3 goals and 2 assists) in seven games with the Bulldogs this season. One of his goals was scored on the powerplay. Engqvist added 11 shots on goal and displays a +2 plus/minus differential.
Engqvist suited up in seven games with the Canadiens this season. The 6’04’’ and 201 lbs forward maintained a +1 plus/minus differential, recorded one shot on goal, had three hits and four blocked shots, while averaging 6:55 of ice time per game.
The Stockholm-born forward Engqvist signed with the Canadiens as a free agent on July 13, 2009.
