Morning puck fans!
What a game last night, eh? In what was a bit of a wild one, the Devils manage to stave off elimination, downing the Kings 2-1.
In another close game, Devils' grizzled veteran netminder, Martin Brodeur, was a show stopper. He turned aside 25 stops to keep the Kings at bay.
The result was the first road loss of the playoffs for the Kings (previously 10-0).
I don't know about you, but this looks like the first bit of adversity the Kings have had to face. I know, I know, they still lead the series 3-2, but we will now get to see how mentally resilient they are.
With the series now shifting back to L.A. for Game 6, does doubt start to creep into the Kings' minds? They already lost once at home, so it's possible to lose there again. And if they do lose and the series goes back to Jersey for Game 7, how do they pull out the win with the Devils carrying all the momentum.
Questions, questions. Whatever happens, Game 6 is going to be one hell of a game!
