Some time ago, I took the odd step of actually defending Pierre Gauthier.
Don't get me wrong, Pierre Gauthier handles public relations about as well as ice handles flame.
But, from a hockey standpoint, he has made some intelligent moves.
And, apparently, the Chicago Blackhawks feel the same way, hiring Gauthier as Director of Player Personnel.
Mind you, I'd make the Bergevin-Gauthier swap anytime, wouldn't you?
