Kaberle Back To Form, TSN Habs' Preview, More...

T.G.I.F. HabsAddicts!!!

Upon his acquisition from the Carolina Hurricanes for veteran defenseman Yaroslavl Spacek, every more that Tomas Kaberle made was under a microscope.

Former Habs' GM Pierre Gauthier didn't do the former longtime Leafs' rearguard any favours, inserting him into the lineup to bolster the power play on a defense-first team. It's well documented that Kaberle is a defensive liability. His offensive upside is the only thing that generates any interest in him, although his contributions have been few and far between in recent years.

Pat Hickey caught up with the Czech born blueliner, who showed up at the Canadiens' practice facility in Brossard, Quebec on Thursday in fantastic shape.

Coach K, have you actually looked at Kaberle's stats?
Do you know the going rate for a 40-50+ point d-man is?
Is Kaberle as bad defensively as Komisarik, MAB, Wideman, Green, Strait etc.
Had most points for Bruin d-men in cup run.

And last year, spilt between 2 crappy teams who couldnt score for crap, he still had good production (on a mid 40point pace with Habs)

Say what you want Anonymous. He was still a team worst -19. That to me speak volumes, considering his limited minutes.
