Good Afternoon Addicts!
Habs captain Brian Gionta is back on track earning five goals and one assist in his last six games. |
Micheal Ryder still has yet to find the back of the net sonce rejoining the Habs but added another two assists giving him six assists in his six games as a Hab this season.
Brian Gionta scored his fifth goal in his last six games and added an assist on Alexei Emelin's game tying goal as he continues to break out of a slump which saw him go five games without earning a point.
There was a damper on the win however as Brandon Prust fell hard into the boards in the third period and laft the game after injuring his shoulder. Prust will miss tonights game and is expected to be out Wednesday and Saturday against the Senators and Devils.
Expect Peter Budaj who is on a three game winning streak to get the start in goal.
The Habs are back at it tonight against the Panthers in Florida.

Trips to Florida always seem to cure all that ails you.
Habs are playing great, well above anyones honest expectations. Love it!
Nice to see Ryder fitting in the way he has. Seeing as how Cole has 1 goal since the trade, deal continues to look great. Ryder is also playing for that last big payday, expect his points pace to continue!
Loving that Gionta has come on since being written off earlier this year as over-the-hill.
Budaj has been solid, if unspectacular as Price's backup. Therrien expected Price to play 40 of 48 games prior to this year finally starting. However, that was with rebuilding being the focus, not leading the Eastern Conference. With Budaj's play being what it is and now a long playoff run being realistic, you have to figure Price's workload might be monitored and maybe 35-37 starts is a more realistic target.
