With Eller, Max Pacioretty and captain Brian Gionta out of the line-up things were looking pretty grim heading into game two of the best of seven series. The Habs however played the way they needed to in order to tie the series up before heading to the nation's capital.
Carey Price played excellent, hopefully putting to rest the doubt that too many Montreal fans have in the team's number one goalie. Price made 29 saves and lost a tooth en route to leading the Canadiens past the Senators.
Ryan White played what was probably his best game in a Habs uniform scoring the team's first goal, throwing three hits and getting under the skin of the Senators. Rene Bourque threw three hits of his own and added an assist giving him two points in two games.
Brendan Gallagher and Alex Galchenyuk showed no signs of playoff nerves as they teamed up for the game winning goal after being reunited on a line with Brandon Prust. The Gally's each have two points in as many games and are looking very promising in their first post season at the NHL level.
With the series tied at one, the series will resume at Scotiabank Place in Kanata tomorrow night. If the Habs show the energy they displayed last night they should have no problem banking at least one win in Ottawa.

Great effort last night. It looked bleak going into the game, with Eller, Gionta and Patches out but Price definitely stood on his head. I have to agree that White was awesome and the Gally/Gally/Prusty line is a playoff combo. They will produce. PK laid out a Sen, fired up as he got to the bench, loving the energy. This series is far from over. Can't wait for Sunday!

The goal Ottawa scored was questionable, with Carey sliding out of his net like an absolute pinhead. He somehow slides out and turns his back on the play...again, like a pinhead.
The guy's record in the playoffs is 9 wins and 15 losses.
That doesn't take a team very far.
Montreal should be up by two games. You know it. I know it. Price knows it.
NEVER FORGET IT.
Ottawa has home ice advantage now, due to the split in Montreal. You can blame Price for that.
Budaj is the better goalie.

You have serious anger issues.
His playoff record isn't indicative of his talent, considering he played with some really useless teams in front of him.
Sure, he wasn't great in Game 1, but he made up for it 10 fold in Game 2, with some pretty spectacular saves in the second and third periods.

YES, the team played great. IN BOTH GAMES!!! We should be up by two games. Instead, we've given up home ice advantage, because of Price's inconsistent play. He should have pulled himself in the first game. He was, in a word, BRUTAL!
First goal = Weak 5 hole
2nd Goal = BRUTAL 5 hole
3rd Goal = Screened (because his teammates lost faith in him and tried to make the save themselves)
4th goal = BRUTAL rebound
We should be up, 2-0. We deserve to be up 2-0. The team severely outplayed Ottawa in both games. But, we're tied.
Why?
