Canadiens recall Ryan White from the Hamilton Bulldogs
MONTREAL -- The Montreal Canadiens announced Thursday that centreman Ryan White has been called up from the AHL Hamilton Bulldogs. White will join the Canadiens in Ottawa, for tomorrow’s game against the Senators at Scotiabank Place.
The 6’00’’, 198 lbs centreman, aged 22, played 16 games with the Canadiens last season, including his first game in the NHL on November 5 at Boston. He recorded two assists and five shots on goal, while averaging 11:09 minutes of ice time per game.
White totals 10 points (2 goals, 8 assists) in 28 games this season with the Bulldogs. One of his goals has been tallied on the power play. He has collected 55 shots on goal and served 64 penalty minutes. White missed 14 games earlier this season due to a lower-body injury incurred on November 19 at Rochester.
A native of Brandon, Manitoba, White was the Canadiens’ fourth pick (third round, 66th overall) in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.

Love White and just hope he gets a chance to play. That said, I want Patches in and Pyatt parked in the press box.
White should have been on this team from the start of camp ahead of guys like Pyatt and I would argue Darche even though Darche has been one of the more consistent players on the team this season.
White is not big but he is good in all three zones and adds an element of grit which we do not have.
My only fear now is that this is a short term move until players are healthy and then we'll once again see Pyatt out there.
Good stuff guys! The only reason White was sent down at the beginning of the season was because of all the one-way contracts the Habs had.
White had a two-way deal and was a no-brainer, from a cap perspective, to go down.
That being said, he has a golden chance now to show that the team needs him more than Pyatt or Moen. if he can show that, and I think he can, then one of both of those players can be moved before the deadline.
We'll see what happens!
KP I would love for Martin to throw out Moen-Engqvist-White as our 4th line checking line. I think that this is the ideal line for the playoffs. Big, Quick, great defensively and cano match up against any other line out there.
This assuming Engqvist does in thr NHL what he did in the Hammer.
