The coaching search is finally over for your Montreal Canadiens and Michel Therrien is slated to become the team's next head coach.
As you will recall, Therrien previously coached les Glorieux in 2001-02 and held the position for two-and-a-half seasons before being replaced by Claude Julien in 2002-03.
After a stint in the AHL, he returned to the NHL with the Pittsburgh Penguins. He toiled for four seasons in Pittsburgh, leading the team to the Stanley Cup Final in 2007-08.
Clearly a better and more experienced coach than during his first tour of duty in La Belle Province, Therrien also brings an evident outward passion that his predecessors lacked.
Overall, a satisfying hire.
