Morning puck fans.
Well, that was both discouraging and heartbreaking, wasn't it?
When given a two goal cushion, Boston is undefeated this season. Considering that, just the fact that Montreal forced overtime is rather impressive.
Considering that the Habs are miles away from a playoff berth, the loss of that extra point difficult to swallow.
If nothing else, though, it was a pleasant sight to see Montreal play a genuinely physical game. Not only that, but it looked like most of the team was more than able to keep up with the aggressive tempoof the game.
In fact, on the official score sheet, the Canadiens out hit Boston by a 27-16 margin. Only five Montreal players did not officially register a hit and, interestingly enough, Mathieu Darche led the team in that department with six bodychecks.
As for the goalies... I'd rather not talk about it. I might get called for interference.
