BREAKING NEWS:
UPDATE: Jan 28, 2010 - 12:38 pm
A bizarre twist in the Laraque to AIK story as a Swedish source, who admits that they are not an expert of NHL-contracts, says that it is Laraque who is not waiving his no trade clause because of concern for the following year. The source was not exactly clear on the details of Laraque's concerns but explained that since he is not waiving his NMC the NHL will not allow him to play overseas.
Seems pretty straight forward but strange. I imagine that this is about financial security for next year but who knows. I'll post more as I hear it.

As first reported by HabsAddict.com, a Swedish article says that Georges Laraque wants to play for AIK Stockholm. This is the team he played for during the lockout.
